Georgia Ciavatta (1986) is an Italian artist living between Bern and Piacenza.
Singer, composer, performer and vocal coach, she is about to release her most recent project, ‘Facing Me’, with the band ISOLA.
With musical influences ranging from jazz to pop, Georgia has a rich career behind her, which has led her to release four albums with Sugarpie & The Candymen (2008-2016) on Irma Records and to tour Europe and America, performing in jazz clubs and festivals such as Umbria Jazz and Umbria Jazz Winter 2015 (IT), Jazz Ascona (CH) 2011 to 2014 – Award Winners 2011, Madrid Jazz Festival (ES), Offtown Festival (TR), La Méridien Etoile (FR) and many others.
With SP&TC, Georgia participated in several radio and TV broadcasts in Italy, Switzerland and Poland, including the Christmas Concert in the Vatican (Rai1), Quelli dello Swing (Rai2), Stereonotte (RadioRai1), Caterpillar (RadioRai2), Radio2 Social Club (RadioRai2).
Her engaging presence and dedication to music set her apart.
With ISOLA, Georgia challenges conventional boundaries, combining musical experimentation and emotional depth through authentic lyrics and poems.
She also collaborates with the trio Conférence International, with Stewy von Wattenwyl (CH) and Jörg Enz (DE), exploring forgotten gems of jazz, blues and bossa nova with passion and virtuosity.
She graduated from the JazzCampus in Basel with Ann Malcolm and holds a degree in music education from the Bern University of the Arts (HKB) with Efrat Alony.
In addition to the stage, Georgia shares her passion for music by teaching singing at Italian music schools, at the Regional Music School in Dübendorf, Zurich, in 2022, and at Konsi Bern from 2023 to the present.
Thanks to her motto ‘learning by doing’, she works with students of all ages and backgrounds, contributing to the growth of their joy for music.
