I was born in Piacenza, on January 9th, 1986 and I took my first steps into the Art World at the age of 3, studying classical ballet.
At the age of 16, I started singing at Accademia della Musica where I met some of my longtime music buddies, with whom I started singing professionally.
At that time my beloved teacher “Angelina” thought I could approach the American songbook: the first song I learned was Summertime.
Since then I never stopped singing the novelties and Broadway songs.
I took part in several projects, giving tribute to the music of The Beatles and touring Italy with a great reggae band, Etnorchestra.
Finally, from July 2008 to March 2016, I have been on tour in Italy and abroad (Switzerland, France, Spain, Germany, Poland, Sweden, America) with the progressive swing 5et Sugarpie & The Candymen.
With this band I recorded 4 albums, for the Italian Label Irma Records, and have performed in jazz clubs and festivals all over Europe, such as Umbria Jazz and Umbria Jazz Winter 2015, Jazz Ascona, Madrid Jazz Festival, Offtown Festival (Istanbul), La Meridien Etoile (Paris) and many others.
I have also taken part to several radio and TV shows in Italy, Switzerland and Poland. Among them the Christmas Concert at the Vatican (Rai1), Quelli dello Swing (Rai2), Stereonotte (RadioRai1), Caterpillar (RadioRai2), Radio2 Social Club (RadioRai2).
After having moved to Switzerland, I graduated in jazz singing at Jazz Campus Basel and I am now attending the master’s degree in musical pedagogy at HKB, in Bern.
I work as a freelance singer with various ensembles, playing concerts and exploring different musical genres, specially dedicating myself to writing music.
